A guard is standing in front of a club and only lets people who know the password, in. A man walks up to the guard. The guard says "6" and the man says "3" and is let in. Another man walks up to the guard. The guard says "12" and the man says "6" and is let in. A man watcing nearby thinks to himself, "Well obviously, you say half the number that the guard says." The man walked up to the guard. The guard says "10" and the man says "5" but he does not get it. What should he have said and why? [If you get the answer right and do not tell me why, I cannot give you your 10 points!]

He should have said 3 because the number of letters in the word 10 is 3, right? Like 6 has 3 letters and 12 had 6 letters...

18. Everything is plus 6 to whoever's trying to get into the club(from the person before them), and then the guard says the half of that #, which would be 9. But U have to stay in order and not say some random #, like that man did.

he should have said 3 because the number 10 has 3 letters and six also has 3 letters and 12 has 6 letters so the password is the number of letters the written form has

3 because there are 3 letters in 6 and that worked. Six letters in 12, and 3 letters in 10.

the answer is 20 because the guard says a number and the answer is the number said by the guard multiplied by 2.

Because 6 and 3 put next to each other times two equals 126

That is 12 and 6 next to each other if you multiply by two again

you get 512 and again 1024. The man said 10 so the correct

response should have been 24. Hope I explained that correctly.

i thought it would be 6 - either the guard says it or the person going in has to (the guard said it first time, then the person going in said it the nxt time)

but everyones saying 3 coz thats how many letters are in the wrd!! - which is it lol

He should have said 12. The guard was waiting for the next person to repeat the number he spoke to the last person.

answer should be 10 the were dividing by 3 then 2 then 1 so i say ten but i like first answer better now
