Anyone who's ever given a cast member a gift (I'm giving one to Mark/Hanke): what are the responses generally? (What the gift is gonna have to be is a secret cause sorry but somebody could steal my idea before I get to be the first person to give the gift. It'll be a non-secret after it's been given.)
I heard that Hanke was like totally flat/boring/unresponsive, someone (who's name I shouldn't reveal) said that he or she gave him a compliment after a show and he didn't respond. I don't think people in RENT are that unfriendly, maybe he was exhausted from after the show or something.

I think that cast members are most often gracious and sincerely thankful for gifts from fans. Without the fans, there is no show.
Especially with a show like RENT, where there is a large number of "super fans" - the cast members are used to getting dolls and scrap books and other gifts.
I don't know anything about Hanke...maybe he was having a bad night??
