This is from a guy. But, I know some of my buddies who do this, so I think I'm qualified to answer your question. He wants you to be with him. He calls you to talk about the future so that hopefully he can come out as the ambitious, smart, mature and sensitive that many girls go for. If he talks about other girls, it's probably that he thinks you're not interested in what he has to say about the future. So, the only way to regain your attention is to make you jealous.

He's an idiot and a loser. He just wants to bed you that is why
he is talking about your future together to impress you and to
bait you later on in bed. You know where he's an idiot? Well
he's talking about other girls! It means to say he is not serious
about you. He only wants your body and after he gets it, he will
just dump and throw you because he already gets what he
wants. Tell him to get lost and never come back in your life!

i think he likes you, he mentions those other bitches just to see your reaction. next time he does it just tell him (or show) how they dont compete ..good luck
