I'm in the army, just went to my first 9mm range, and I loved it. There was something enjoyable about firing a handgun that felt totally different from anything else I've fired. The 9mm had nearly no kick which was also kinda nice(a little change from my M-240B). Anyhow, how much should i expect to pay for my own handgun and where should i look? Do i run any risks from buying from a pawn shop? I'm really just looking for something to spray bullets out of, accuracy isn't a big concern for me.

It all depend on the brand and the wear on the hand gun that you find. Ruger 9mm in good condition around $350. Glock 19 in 9mm good condition $429. Star Model 30 good condition 9mm $425. There are so many brands. Kel-tec,Kimber, Smith & Wesson,H & K and on and on. You would have to check different pawn shops and see what each one has and see what kind of prices they have on there pistols. Make sure they have not been abused. You should know enough about wepons to know if someone has been taking care of there wepons. GOOD LUCK.
Myself I love my Ruger P89 and I paid $369.00 and my wife has a Glock model 26 and we paid $429.00 both are 9mm.

For backup on an analogous time as searching almost any handgun will do. For handgun searching the minimum high quality is the .357 Magnum ideally with the 6" barrel. In vehicle-loaders your terrific alternatives are the wasteland Eagle .40 4 magazine. or .50 AE, or the Glock kind 20 10mm. forget approximately the .40 5 acp and somewhat forget approximately the 9mm for a commonly used searching weapon. If all I had to seek with replaced right into a handgun, then mine may be a .40 4 Magnum or extra advantageous yet, a .454 Casull revolver. This being very actual if I have been searching in undergo united states of america. sturdy success. H

When firing a gun, whether at the enemy or a target, accuracy should alwys be a concern. Sending rounds "to whom it may concern" is a sure fire way to end up with a tragic accident. Keep in mind you can't call the bullet back once you pull the trigger.

I would stay away from pawn shops. Go to a reputable gun shop if you can. Expect to lay out $200 - $500 for a 9. If that sounds too steep, try a gun show. Ask around and you'll find reputable sellers who will stand behind what they sell.
