I maybe leaving 4 new york in March, do you think that I should go driving and take a subway everywhere I go or FLY and take a subway ??? if u recomend flying please tell me a cheap airline. also, I am Claistrophobic, is there a problem riding a subway and if you pleae tell me the times that subways aren't crowded..

If you are really claustrophobic, don't use the subways - they are underground, they do get stuck, and you will not be able to get off right away. Use the buses instead (there's a great bus system in New York) and if the bus gets stuck in traffic, or gets too crowded for you, you can simply get off.

Hi, im from NYC, that depends what the time of day is, it can get crowded but not so much..Best time to go on subway is during day hours and at night (it runs 24/7,be careful tho)...HOPE YOU HAVE NICE TIME :)

depends on which subway, and which direction, and where. some are crowded everywhere, all the time.i cant tell you whether to drive or fly, since I dont know where you comin from. but i will tell you if you drive, you better know where you plan on parking that car....

we drove from WV about 7 hours or so we walked and visited alot of the firehouses in mahatten but when we did venture out to da bronx we took the subway have fun
