Eastbay from time to time has great sales- you can call for a catalog or order online- they carry all sports gear for every sport but really speciailize in the current sport of the season during that season. Another way to go is ebay- just look with the criteria "NWT" or "NWOT" which means new with tags or new without tags- either way you can get a better deal second hand on ebay than in a store. If you already know exactly what you want and what it costs in stores and on other sites, you might find that ebay often times has things seriously cheaper. I just paid half the normal cost for my running shoes the other day.

Janet is right roadrunner sports is great, I use them pretty much exclusively and calling the 800 number on the website their customer service reps know what they are talking about
