my parents have a serious drinking problem?

my parents have a serious drinking problem every night they get drunk and they yell alot. every night there arguing. they say there getting a divorce but they never do. i ask them to please stop drinking and they yell at me for being disrespectful. its very annoying and its embarrassing. they dont hit me so u dont have to be suspicious about it. am i the only on with this problem??

A lot of people have this problem. It affects you more than you might think.
You can't get them to stop drinking; they are the only ones who can do that.
You are old enough to go to Alateen meetings. Ask your school counselor about it. This is a group for teens who have parents with drinking problems and everybody in it is anonymous, so you don't have to worry about other people finding out. It can really help you to keep your life under control no matter what your parents do.

(((HUGS))) Sorry to hear you are going through this. I do hope you will remember this and break the alchoholism cycle in your family. Don't do as your parents do when you are older but learn from their mistakes. Also do not blame yourself. Your parents have a disease and need help. Their drinking and marriage problems have nothing to do with you but I know they both cause damage to you. Hang in there and always remember that you can go to your school counselor or principal if you need help with this.
