When you get it. Don't forget to give 10 percent back to the Lord, Give to your church. Give to your local Salvation army. Give 10 percent. Give, Give, Give.

JD is not correct everywhere in the US. The federal minimum wage for covered employees is still at 5.15 an hour. Many states have higher limits, but only about 20 states have minimums higher than 6.25/hr.

The many people who calculated your gross pay for each two-week period at $100 are correct. Then 7.65 will be deducted for social security and medicare. Depending on how you file your W-4, there might be some federal withholding but probably not. Depending on where you live, there might or might not be state and/or local taxes withheld. So while it's not possible to give you an exact answer, your paycheck each two weeks should be somewhere around $90.

If you get paid every other week...16 hours (2 weeks worth) * $6.25 = $100 less taxes and other things.

However, since you are just starting, you MAY only get paid for one week for this first check (=$50 less taxes), depending on the payroll cycle and when the payroll is done.

you would multiply your hours worked for the pay period to your rate of pay to come up with your gross wages (pre-tax).

Taxes are then withheld:
Federal taxes (determined by your W-4 allowances)
Social Security taxes (6.2%)
Medicare taxes (1.45%)
State taxes (depending on your state)
Local taxes (depending on your locality)

...if you work more than 40 hours in one week all hours over the 40 are paid at time and 1/2 (if you are in California or Colorado the overtime rules are different)

You can calculate your gross to net pay by going onto www.paychekcity.com use the Payroll Calculator plug in your information and it should give you an approximation of the net pay you will receive...in my experience, sometimes that website is not always up to date with the current tax tables, but it's usually extremely close to what your paycheck comes out to be.

8 hours x $6.25 x 2 weekends = ? total gross pay
gross pay x 7.15% = taxes deducted

The difference will be your paycheck.

That is under minimum wage. Against the law unless its some fluke who pays cash as a gift for a "summer-job" or some similar rip-off is my only advice.
