It all has to do with money. They yell for women to have their babies but when they do they get mad if she goes on welfare and their taxes have to go to help support the child by providing him/her with food, housing and God forbid- health care. Its ALL very hypocritical. Lets be honest- the women who are getting abortions are NOT exactly married and financially stable, if they were they wouldn't be getting an abortion. The women getting abortions are most likely unmarried, poor women who will end up on welfaere if they have the baby. Then people will be complaining because she had a baby and their tax dollars are helping to support it.

Don'tbelieveinnothing- ALL of those examples that you provided were for the UNBORN. PRENATAL care, ultrasounds, parenting info, taking in the EXPECTANT mother- ALL of those things are for the UNBORN child. What about health care for the baby AFTER he/she is born? What about food and housing for the mother and baby AFTER the baby is born? Women who do use any resources (welfare and medicaid) are critcized by people like you for using your tax dollars.

well, because anti-choice people don't really love zygotes. what they love is control and sticking the self righteous moralizing noses into the lives of total strangers. if they actually loved children as much as they claim there wouldn't be a single unwanted child languishing unloved and neglected in America's repellent foster care system. but the sad truth is if a child isn't an infant, perfect and white they could spend their entire lives without a real home. older children, children with disabilities, mixed race children, children born to addicted mothers are left parent-less while the anti-choice fret over zygotes. go figure.

They love the innocent and the unprotected, once born they have a chance. Also you dont have to help a unborn child, though a born child requires alot of time, energy, and money.

Outstanding question, excellent point made.

Rather than fuss about abortions, we really do need to show a little more compassion for the living. Thing is, that would require real, committed effort, and most people just don't want to get involved if it means they actually have to DO something.

***I see the hypocrites are out in full force tonight. Go right ahead, thumbs down all you want. You know the asker and I both made a point, as did many of the others who answered.

The old line was "it's not a baby". It took 20 years of ultrasound tech. to bury that line. Now that that lie has been exposed and buried it's "nobody cares about the born".Got examples? How about places that take in the exp. mother, give prenatal care, adoption info.,parenting classes. Abortion is fornication plus execution, not a sanctimonious choice. Health of the mother? Real cases would be 2-3 % of abortions. All else is convenient murder.

Because to be for or against abortion for example is a choice people make for various reasons. Not loving those who are already born is a moral choice.

I don't have enough time to fix EVERYTHING that you break. If I saved EVERY unborn, and EVERY born, you'd be complaining that I ignore some endangered lizard. Get off your straw argument and stop telling people it's moral to murder babies.

The born are expensive to take care of. Perhaps that is the reason?
