My husband got me a spa day. It was just what I needed after all the stress from planning the wedding. What's more American than pampering oneself!

Why don't you get her earrings that match her engagement ring? Get her a necklace with a charm that symbolizes something from your life here--either from a place where you had an important date (where you got engaged, where you had your first date, where you first told her you loved her), or one of her favorite things (like is her favorite food here chinese? get her a chinese symbol for love). Get her lingerie from a store that you can only find here and not in India.

Those are some ideas for you!

Congratulations and it is very sweet that you want to get her a gift for your wedding!

Well...in the states sometimes a gift of jewelry is given....for example a necklace that would go with her wedding dress....maybe something to do with US traditions...something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue....the bride is supposed to wear something that fits with each one.....a nice bracelet or something like it that she would remember came on her wedding day sounds nice too.....

Jewelry, definitely. Possibly a locket or a watch. You can have either engraved.

Another nice idea is a jewelry box. This one is nice and you can have it engraved with her new initials (if she's taking your name).
