he said we aren't over, he said "the tension between us is too high, and i'm afraid that if we don't cool it we'll be over. don't think i don't love you, i told you i love you more than anything in the world, more than anyone i've ever loved before, and i meant it." then he just left. i have to see him at church tomorrow, what do i do when i see him? do i say something?

indeed you are in a tight situation. its like damn if you do and damn if you dont kind of thing...well follow your instinct. you know this guy well, more than i do. say hi and just be there. be approachable. maybe he has some problems he isnt ready to share with you and you have some tension too going on beween yourselves. have some space for each other for now. you cant force him to be with you unless he is ready. its hurting i know, but you'll get over soon...things like this happens in a relationship. when one is ready to love, one must also be ready to get hurt...be in the company of friends, dont sulk, do something to improve yourself, make yourself busy and the days will be easier to face. its not your fault, its just that it takes two to tango, and it seems the guy doesnt want to dance for now. meantime look for activities that you can improve yourself, like sports, hobby, piano, writing, photography, do it with friends so u are not alone, and sooner you'll find yourself better and proud of your achievement. the pain will just go away because you didnt dwell with it for long. good luck. been there thats y.

I would say it is another woman. I never in my life had a girlfriend and just felt like cooling it. That's just not a guy thing.
You need to play the " whoever cares the least Win's".
If you see him at church give him your best smile, a little wave, say good morning and walk right bye. You are in control of your life, it is up to you now if you get back together not him.
Take advantage of the break and do something for yourself that you haven't had time to do. Show him that it was probably a good Idea to cool it and you are perfectly fine with it and maybe better off. That might make him reconsider if that is what you want.
Good Luck.
Always more fish in the sea.

i personaly would take the we should cool it off for a while as he could be scared. He could not feel the same, but doesn't want to hurt ur feelings. BUt either way he can't care about u too much becuase he is setting you free to find someone new notice he did say for a while so i say keep yourself busy and when he decides he wants to back make him work for it if u haven't found better yet or he'll want u back when u do move on

Talk to him like you would talk to your friends. Be natural. Never be seen as begging. This is the worst situation to be in. Rememebr if he leaves, fine. If he doesn't, fine. How you live your life really depends on you- not on others. Become even more attractive that he is not with you. Live out your dreams. When he feels like he wants to return, make sure you are the first person who feels comfortable with him back. If so, kindly accept him, without leaving your current lifestyle for him. If not, tell him to wait till you're ready. A woman of strength is beyond attractive, she is charming and disarming. Good Luck.

Well, I would say hi, but I'd keep it light hearted. He may just need his space right now. I've gone through this recently, just the other way around with my gf. After a week its gotten a little better. I even feel more attracted to her now. So just let the man have some space and have some fun.

Yeah my boyfriend said the same thing to me once and we got back together after 3 weeks. It's for the better. Things are going good again. Just act like your usual self before you met him...or as friends.

I would say hello give a sweet hurt look and walk away. give the space but not for to long, when it goes into a time line scenario, things get fishy

i think that you should just take this time to give him the space that
both of you need. and then see how it goes. when you see him
keep it simple.
