Only if you sexualise nudity. Nudity is not sexual, and not harmful. If nudity was harmful, we'd be putting clothes on all the animals of the world. Children who grow up in open families, including naturist families, tend to be very well adjusted, have good self-esteem, and don't display the insecurities that many people have about their bodies. They feel more comfortable with themselves. Kids won't care about if their parents are naked.

I never saw my parents naked as a child. My daughter is still a young toddler and i don't have a problem with her taking a shower with me or seeing me on the potty or watching me get dressed. But once children get past a certain age around 4 or 5 i think that you should curve the nudity around them. There nothing wrong with bare skin but children should be taught there are times and places where its appropriate to take your clothes off and places and times where its not.

Imagine YOUR parents naked. Is that harmful to you? haha... I would say it's not normal for children to see their parents naked on a regular basis. Once in a while if a child walks in when you are changing it's ok, but don't walk around the house naked or anything!

I think it is perfectly acceptable when the children are young and always when the children are the same gender as the naked parent. If a child sees the opposite sex parent naked, the parent should not make a big deal of it, just cover up. Your children, if you pay attention, will give you very strong signals on their comfort level here. As soon as they exhibit modesty, you certainly must.

I don't think so. My mom was always very open about being naked of course it wasn't like we stared at her but she didn't mind if we saw her nude. If it's the opposite sex parent I think it's a lot different. I think if a young girl saw her father naked that would be a different story. I agree with the point that if you don't let it be a big deal it won't be a big deal. Most Americans do have such an issue with nudity.

no. especially not same-sex parents. once they get older they shouldn't see the opposite sex parent nude.
if my mother is in the shower and I need to use the washroom I go in and do so- same thing for her.
I live in a chick -house though.
there are no guys here so even changing in the living room or with door open doesn't bother anyone.

I don't think the body is anything to be ashamed of. Nudity at home is more of a cultural issue. When I have a boy, I will be more careful because of my culture

As far as I can tell, if you've always been comfortable around your kids when you're naked, your kids as they grow up will soon let you know when or if it starts embarrassing them.
