Infant finger food recipes - Applesauce Muffins (age 10 months+)
2oz softened butter
2oz sugar
1 egg (if your baby is under 1 year, you may prefer to use these egg substitutes)
3oz applesauce
4oz flour
2tsp baking powder
pinch cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 200 deg C, 390 deg F.
Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl until light.
Beat in the egg until fluffy.
Beat in the applesauce.
Stir the dry ingredients together and add them to the bowl, blending just enough to moisten the dry ingredients.
Spoon into greased muffin tins and bake for around 15 mins, until golden.
Infant finger food recipes - Sweet Potato And Cinnamon (age 6 months+)
1 sweet potato
ground cinnamon
Bake the sweet potato in its skin, until tender.
Cool, then carefully remove the skin.
Cut into cubes, sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.
Infant finger food recipes - Baby Chicken Fingers With Apple (age 7/8 months+)
9oz ground chicken
1 medium carrot
1 medium apple
1/2 garlic clove
1oz onion
1 small egg yolk, beaten
1oz fresh breadcrumbs
pinch crushed, dried thyme
pinch freshly ground black pepper
Peel and grate the carrot, apple, garlic and onion.
Place into a mixing bowl, along with the ground chicken.
Add the beaten egg, breadcrumbs, thyme and black pepper. Mix well.
Take small balls of the mixture and roll into little "sausages".
Place on a grill pan (broiler) and heat under the grill for 10 mins on each side.
Allow to cool.
Serve, or store some in the freezer for future use (if you haven't already eaten them!)
Infant finger food recipes - Cheesy Vegetable Nuggets (age 7/8 months+)
8oz frozen broccoli florets
4oz breadcrumbs
6oz Cheddar, grated
2 1/2 tbsp water
2 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
Heat the oven to 375 deg F, 190 deg C.
Cook the broccoli, then drain and chop well.
Combine with the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Form the mixture into nugget shapes and place on a greased baking tray, about 3in apart.
Bake for 20-25 mins, turning halfway through the cooking time.
Serve warm.
Infant finger food recipes - Baby Meatballs (age 10 months+)
8oz lean minced/ground beef
4oz mashed potatoes
Pre-heat the oven to 350 deg F, 180 deg C.
Combine the ingredients and blend well.
Roll into 1in balls.
Place on a baking tray and cook for around 20 mins.
Drain the fat, then cool and serve.

Please don't prepare and eat the baby. mac and cheese, cut up hot dogs, the usual. they never tire of that stuff.
