God, through his love, gave us free will so that we could make our own decisions. Now, I don't think God would want a bunch of robots saying "I love you" because that would totally disregard the purpose of love, he gives us the choice to freely come to Him and love Him, or to reject Him.

I definitely agree with you... even though I am atheist, I know the religious teachings of christianity because that's how i was raised. the thing is though, i believe that if there were a God, he would love all of his children even the ones who don't believe but are still good people... i am a good person but i am not religious, i do not believe that would make me any different in His eyes and I believe that this concept should be taught in church. Instead of people living in fear of doing something wrong, they should just be positively motivated to do the good things. It is a basic principle, if you send out good energy, you will receive good energy. As for God, if he did exist, I think he would encourage his creations to think for themselves and not be swayed by others. Having individual ideas makes the world a better, more enjoyable place.

GOD didnt mind whether you believe in him or not? It is upto you to find him and believe in him. For God if you believe or not, doesnt make any difference. He has created all of us and has given us time to think, act and move forward. If we want to succeed in this life it is better we follow the rules of our Creator rather than some myths or individuals. He has given us intelligence and it is upto us to use this for the benefit of our own. He cannot spoon feed us everything when he has given us the neceessary tools to live and succeed here. He has given a set of rules to follow and if we follow it we surely can succeed in both the worlds. If we dont want to follow, he dont mind it is upto us. But an intelligent will always follow the creators rules because he only knows better about us than any. Just like Traffic rules on the Roads, we need religious guidance and rules so that we dont bang each other and get into the hell of things..

God does not care one way or another if we believe in a man-made religion. God simply is and will be forever throughout the universe. God is the life force that is the spark of all life and does not reside in any kind of segregationist heaven. This is all there is so live every day as if it was your last.

I think that you have already found your answer, you said that, "Jesus said." The Bible is frought with telling us that God wants our love. Read John 3:16-17-18. God has not turned his back on us, but many have turned their backs to Him. Read the three verses that I have written down above.

Believing really isn't the point, though.
God created us to BE WITH US, not so we could sit somewhere and say, "Yep. I know He's there...I just know it!"
Believing is only the first part. Once we acknowledge His existence, we must acknowledge His character, and after that, His authority.

Really? No!
It's man that wants you to "believe"!
Does the air need you "believe"? Yet, you breathe it ... whether or not you "believe"! So too with "God"!
It's man who needs you to "believe" in his version of the Truth!
The Truth, however, remains unaffected; whatever you "believe" or not!
You can see the logic of how "truthful" the "Truth" of the "Religions" is in that they cannot even maintain harmony with their brethren and need to fight for the "Truth"!?!? Verily, if God is our Father; all He wants of us is our Love! Love for Him and all His Creation!

I can't imagine why he would not care if we believe in his existence. How would you feel if your child or the person you loved simply ignored you and pretending that you didn't even exist when you clearly do.
