Before yahoo I was under the delusion that "there is no such thing as a stupid question". When someone asks "how soon can I take a pregnancy test?", they deserve all the responses they get.

Many of us are sick to death of political correctness. This forum allows people to say what they please. If some of us find the questions inane, and begging for us to enable them in deluded thinking and self-pity......then this is the perfect forum to blast them.
Call a spade a spade; call a stupid person stupid, remind the uneducated that they are often ignorant.
Being a "yes" person seldom helps anyone, but many answers just drip with "Oh, you poor darling, you don't deserve this, that or the other". "My sweetie, how could HE do such a thing, oh my, oh my". Yuck,gag, gag, and gag.
This is a nice little written forum for Q&A; if you want to make it into something else, I personally think you are barking up the wrong tree. Serious questions usually get mostly serious answers; whiners and complainers, and sugary sweet hypocrites often get exactly what they need.....to be blasted.

well, some people have no life and decide for entertainment to post insulting answers, or the asker really did post a beyond stupid question and then EVERYONE posts insulting answers

You would have to ask each of them individually. But the general idea is that they think they are funny (which they are not). Some of them are just plain rude because nobody taught them how to follow socially accepted rules of behaviour. And some are just plain stupid. Whichever the case, we can only be sorry for them, because they don't realize how it reflects on them in real life.

i try not to put insulting answers to questions, i try to have a little tackt, it is fun however to put a few things out there. example:
i answered this question: if you meet yourself on the street what would you say? i replied: hi stupid. I was flagged that my comment was insulting, even though i only insulted myself, it was fun though

Remember- Yahoo! Answers is usable by young kids who just learned how to say "nice" four- letter words and who think it's "cool" to be a smart a$$. The rest are just trying to be comedians....

One, because it's so anonymous that they can lash out without fear of repercussion. Many won't accept e-mails for responses.
Two, because for some reason it makes them feel superior to hurt another person.
Sad, but true.
