Go to the main train station and ask them about train and bus schedules/prices. Maybe a travel agent can help too.

I go back and forth from Seoul and Suwon quite a bit on subway line 1. It costs about 1400 won, or $1.40

I'm not sure where bucheon is, but I'm sure if its in the seoul area or right outside there is either bus or subway.

well I have tried to do a bit of research to help you. But I would say trains and buses. The public transportation is a great one and works well I have been and traveled in So. Korea quite a bit. If you mail me here I will ask my GF who lives in Busan(Pusan) to help me tell you as her brother lives in Seoul
