Minimum four times a week. I go so often they not only know me by sight and name but the owners start salivating and the cash registers palpitate when I walk in the door.

Once usually because I hate supermarket. There are things that I see in dollar store and the same things would cost 4 to 6 times more expensive in the supermarket. Even Chinese grocery stores charge a lot less. Supermarkets can certainly get their product cheaper than small grocery and dollar store, but I guess supermarkets are just greedy and sucker of our hard earned money.

At the end of every month, I will go and stock up for up to three weeks. Canned goods, pasta, meat, cereal, just about everything that cannot go bad in about 3 to 4 weeks. Then once a week, I will pick up the milk, bread, and whatever else I'm running out of. This makes things less stressful at dinner time, especially since I have three small children and a husband who are very picky.

My ritual is to go every Monday night with the list that I have made throughout the week. So I do the majority of my shopping on Mondays, but if I need anything else or forgot something which doesn't happen as often if I make a list, then I will go as needed. I also go on Friday or Saturday night to pick up some beer.

We try to go once per week, but it ends up being atleast twice with fresh bread & milk or if I forgot something on last weeks shopping list.

It doesn't matter how organised my shopping list is, I always end up re-visiting the supermarket

About 3-4. I never know what I want us to eat until the night before or that morning. But it's not a lot, just 2-3 things. If I bought them in advance, they'd spoil. And it's no biggee, the store is 4 blocks away.

Too many. i go and then realize i forgot something. Then i go the next day to get what i forgot and when i get home i see someone has eaten up all the cereal or ravioli and i try to wait a day but then have to go again because whoever ate all the cereal also drank all the milk (and didn't rinse the bowl out). Sigh.
