Does excessive urination play a part? Licking paws on and off? Is the sensation to lick anything some sort of side effect?

Could be a bad tooth or bad gums.. Could be serious--like ingesting some type of toxin. Excessive urination may come from drinking a lot due to an underlying problem.

Take your dog to the vet-emergency vets are available on weekends. Look in the yellow pages.

Did he get a hold of a frog? Getting alot of saliva or any kind of frothy mouth w/excessive licking tell me somethings tasting bad and hes trying to get the taste out! Just an option of what might have happened!

no I don't think it plays a part. Excessive urination may be a serious Urinary tract problem Please call your vet. Excessive Saliva Iask what breed is your dog? It is normal for some breeds and abnormal for others.
When I say excessive I mean more than what your dog usually urinates

is this a constant thing or just today?
if it's constant, please be careful. My 2 yr old dog was salivating excessively for a couple of weeks. We took her to the vet to get it checked out, and they put her under anesthesia and it turned out she was allergic to it. Her heart failed and she died. Needless to say, we never found out why she was salivating, but if you take her to the vet, just keep it in mind in case they give her anesthesia for any reason. dogs should have blood tests before going under.

He's probably about to get very sick and throw up soon. Dogs are just like humans. If you think carefully about what happens before you vomit.... the dog probably ate grass.
