I would say no, here is why. Born again, means rebirth this rebirth only applies to the church in the book of Acts and of course the church of today, if they would use it, which they don't, much! The old testament church had a different way However much of the old testament church rules was Incorporated so to speak with the new testament church, such as thou shall not commit murder. There is no need to shed blood as they did, because Jesus blood paid for the church.

I can not agree with your interpretation of what born again means so I can't give you a yes or no answer. To me it simply means to make the conscious decision to follow God and be obedient to His laws to the best of my ability because He is God. Whether old or new testament beliefs are in place are beside the point because we go with what we have at our disposal at the moment. God knows our heart....it says that in both sections of the Bible.

No, they had the "Law of Moses", ( The Ten Commandments ) to live by, The Law didn't bring salvation, It was a teacher, to show them the way to righteous, but no one could keep all the commandments. If you broke one, you broke them all. It taken a Blood Atonement, to fore fill the Law. Jesus volunteered His self, for that Atonement. That's why God the Son came in the flesh,
and became one of us. He did His part, and our part is to trust and except Him.

Bad definition, but yes.

Job described seeing his redeemer after his skin melted off of his body. Ezekiel described God raising his people from their graves. Isaiah said once, "in those days, their lives shall be as the trees..." (Before industrial logging, trees were believed to live forever.)

Jesus Christ brought to us the baptism of the Holy Spirit and with fire as John the Baptist said.

Matthew 3:11 - I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Mark 1:8 - I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

Luke 3:16 - John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

John 3:3 - Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:5 - Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:7 - Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

1 Peter 1:23 - Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
