I lost that much and more in a month by sitting in a sauna for 4 hours in the morning and 3 at night. While I was in there, I did sit-ups and push-ups. I'd get out once an hour to sit in the whirlpool for 10 minutes. I DO NOT suggest this! I ended up in the hospital.
WHat I do suggest.....and it is what I do now to lose weight, is to make up your plate as you normally would (or if out to eat, order as you normally would), and then cut all the portions in half and set aside on the other side of the plate. Only eat one of the halfs. The other half, take home and eat at another meal.
I have lost alot of weight just by eating only half of what is on my plate!

I lost ten pounds in seven days on the Sacred Heart diet. It's not actaully affiliated with the hospital... but it's a great diet. You make the soup (which is actually pretty good) and then you get a variety of food to eat with the soup. I've now lost twenty pounds in five weeks. Only did the diet for the first week to get a jump start.

Lift weights to raise your metabolism, drink lots of water, eat about 1200 calories and also include cardio of 45 minutes each day. You can lose 8-10 lbs a month this way.
