Yes. Not only does the Bible say so, but astrophysicists can not look beyond the singularity that started the Big Bang. The math, however, suggests that God does indeed exist.

If you are equipped for it, there are some interesting math proofs in the book, 'The Physics of Immortality' by Frank J. Tipler.

Are you presuming the existence of a god and asking whether or not it created the world or are you asking a combined question of do you believe in a god and did that god create the world? As I don't believe in gods of any sort, I don't believe gods created the world.

Have you ever noticed that you never see people sitting in a restaurant arguing about whether or not there is a cook? The world is much more complex than my dinner. If it takes intelligent design to assemble a cheeseburger, then of course it took God to create the world.

I do believe that God made the world. The bible says it in the first book. I am a pastor's child and that is what I grew up around and i have no reason to believe anything different.

The physical world is a part of the manifestation of existance which is the 'body' of the Divine. So, yes. The Divine is the sentient essence of the Universe. All things break down into smaller parts. Our Sun caused our Earth. Our Earth developed life as part of Her Expression. I don't think it was some ancient Hebrew war god, thank you very much. Development of both our planet and our physical forms occured as our logical researchers have been able to determine ('evolution') AND this is a part of reality constantly making itself ('creation').

Yes I do. Though Darwin had something when he noticed the differences between the animals in the Galapagos to the rest of the world, that is a reasult of adaptation, not evolution. Science proves that in every aspect of the universe, matter is moving from organized into chaos, and that goes directly against evolution

The book of genesis is a metaphor.

God could conceivably have created the world by putting everything in motion at the time of the big bang...

Absolutely. I've studied medicine and the human body...so many minute details that fall into play, everything is so intricate and complex that it could not have happened by accident. There is a master plan at work.
