The boxers aren't actually hugging. They're "clinching". Boxers usually clinch when they become extremely tired or when they have themselves in a bad situation. If a boxer is on the verge of getting knocked out, he will clinch to rest. If a boxer is being pummeled in a corner, he's going to clinch. Its that simple.

wow yariza is fine, anyway it's not a hug it's a technique used to keep the other fighter from hitting you and alot of times if a guy is hit with a good shot, he'll hold his opponent until his head is cleared. some guys do it to get a deep breath in of take a short rest. it's actually called "clinching" and it's basically a defensive move for you if you're ever in a bad situation in the ring. i'd love to hug you(smiling)

Its called clinching at they do it for many different reasons. If your fighting someone who can punch harder than you that means you don't want to fight on the inside, or close to the other guy, you wanna stay on the outside so when he does get on the inside thats when you clinch with them until the ref breaks it. That puts you back on the outside. Sometimes they do it just for rest or a break from fighting if they are hurt.

Haha. They don't hug each other in that sense, but they usually do it because they are in a losing position so they try and grab the other person and lock onto him/her so that the referee has to pull them apart and it allows for some rest.

no longer if the wrestle is going as one would quite anticipate a wrestle to bypass. yet as has been observed, if someone pulls a knife, guages out an eye fixed, etc., then of route a lawsuit would properly be justified. yet demanding punches, even doubtlessly deadly demanding punches, no.

when youre out of position or on the end of a losing exchange it is common for fighters to 'clinch' to get a moment to regroup, then create space (when ref breaks them) to get in better position to punch , or just a moment of rest...

it's not the hugging that you think it is but it's some sort of resting place for them while they try to regain more stamina or strenght, this also prevents them from getting hit
