You're in luck! For the 2007/2008 award year the government raised the EFC amount to 4311 to be able to get a Pell Grant. So, you will be able to get some Pell money just not much. Of course, you'll be able to get your Subsidized loan (Unsubsidized as well depending on your situation). Depending on your state and their qualifications, you should be eligible for something there. Also there are two new grants, a SMART and ACG grant depending on your grade level. You do have to be Pell eligible to receive those.

If you have any more questions, email me....

I can't email you back... but here's some more data on what you asked...

Did you fill out the 2007/2008 FAFSA or the 2006/2007? If you did do
the 07/08, the department of education may not be updating their
information yet. The President just signed the bill to raise the Pell Grant
on February 12th. I'm sure it will be updated by the time you get your
award letter at your school. You don't have a previous degree or
anything, do you?

I do work for a college in Ohio, to get any Ohio Grants you do have
to be an Ohio Resident AND go to a school in Ohio unfortunately. I'm not
sure how Colorado works it if there are any grants for out of state
residents. The schools themselves may offer a grant or scholarship for out
of state students, don't leave any rock unturned.

What is your major as well? Being a junior and a certain major can
qualify you for the SMART grant. Here are the qualifications for that...

An eligible student may receive a National SMART Grant of up to
$4,000 for each of the third and fourth academic years of study. To be
eligible for each academic year, a student must:

Be a U.S. citizen;
Be a Federal Pell Grant recipient;
Be enrolled full-time in a degree program;
Be enrolled in a four-year degree-granting institution;
Major in physical, life or computer science, engineering,
mathematics, technology, or a critical foreign language; and
Have at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale
(as set forth in regulations to be promulgated soon).

I hope I could of helped you a little bit... any more questions let
me know! Good luck in college!!!!!
