Blurry Pictures
The cause for the blur is the movement of the camera while the shutter is open, this is commonly known as "camera shake". If your camera is set to "Auto" the ammount of time the shutter is open will vary based on the lighting conditions (shorter for bright sun, and longer for indoors). Here are some tips to reduce camera shake:

* Use the viewfinder instead of the LCD, or lock your elbows to your sides when taking a picture if you use the LCD; the closer the camera is to you the less you will shake

* If available use a table, railing, or wall to steady yourself (any flat, staitionary object will work)

* Keep in mind the more you zoom, the more sensitive to movement your shot will be

As was said before, you must be very still when taking pictures. Also, remember it is not a digital still camera, it will not be as good for taking pictures as a regular digital still camera is. One other likely possibility is that the light levels are low. In lower light, the shutter will stay open longer to gather enough light. When doing so, unless the subject is perfectly still, it is "recording" its movement the entire time the shutter is open. So if the subject is moving at all, it will appear blurry in the picture. Try in outdoor bright daylight and see if that comes out ok. That camcorder, like the vast majority of them has problems taking digital stills without very good lighting.

you are probably moving the camcorder a bit when you are recordign the video. Try puting the camcorder on a flat surface while recording the video that should help get rid of the blurriness. If that doesn't work then you should send the camcorder back to the manufacter.

No matter how costly the camera, shooting pictures demand careful handling like not moving your hands while taking picture to avoid blurred outcome. In taking pictures, the right position that a German cameramen taught me is to place your elbows close to your body so that you control the camera.
