OK, you want to keep it UNDER 1400 Dollars right?

You want the HIGHEST RESOLUTION (1080) instead of 720 right?

You ok with a CRT Projection TV?
IF SO then the Hitachi 51F59 , 57F59 or the 65F59 can be purchased BELOW $1400 !!!!!

NOW That TV is the ONLY choice if YOU WANT 1080 Native Resolution.....I own one myself !

You take a look at the NATIVE Resolution of ANY LCD OR DLP or PLASMA for that price and you will end up with only 720 resolution......

That's like having LOW....Hi Def Display.
I prefer HIGH....Hi Def display....

And look at the gazzillions you'll save.....for a nice Theater sound system....or a HD-DVD player like the Toshiba HDA2 unit I'll purchase when my TAX check arrives....
YEP that's good "bang for the Buck" at $400 via WEB too.....

As for the BEST PRICE on those REALLY RELIABLE Hitachi PTVs.....check Circuit City.....I got the 51F59 for $800 and it fits nicely in my 15 x 20 ft living room.

NO I didn't WANT Giganto-Vision.....watching TV should be fun, not neck-twisting eye-ball moving Work.

IF you think that LCD or DLP technology is BETTER.....don't think that....IT's MORE expensive to have one of those in your home due to repair costs and bulb costs.....

The CRT PTV has been so refined and has such a long lifetime (18 years on my Mits!) AND the HI DEF Technology STARTED with the CRT Projection units, that's its the MOST reliable, the cheapest to repair, the HIGHEST DEFINITION for the LOWEST PRICE!

BTW....Circuit City's $2500 and higher TV sets are the only TVS that get the HI DEF signal.....all the others, including the Hitachi $800 get the LOW DEF signal....

GEE, I wonder what they really want to sell us.....

Although Plasma tv's have exepyional picture (in most cases) i my self have been drawn towards teh versitility of an LCD.

I just bought one and am very pleased with it. As far as DLP the picture i have seen in most has been extremely close to my lcd but it lacks the flat panel option(which may or may not be a big deal for you).Ive looked at your price range and to be perfectly honest no tv that copsts 1500 bucks will be top of line, however you can get close, and if your happy with not having the absolute best then saving teh extra money is a great idea.
However if you are a stickler for quality i would shell out a little bit more and get closer to best out there.
If i could give you one last piece of advice i would seriously consider an LCD or DLP not a plasma just because in my opinion for that sort of money i dont want their to be any chance of burn in or loss of colour. Happy hunting mate ...either way whatever you decide upon , im sure you'll be very happy the new technology on the whole is very impressive. (But only with HD programming ...do not go cheap when it comes to upgrading to hd)

Each television has plusses and minuses. I worked with a bunch of techs and the consenses was DLP - Samsung or Mitsubishi....

Downside is you can't wall mount them. Plus is that there's typically less problems, much lighter than a plasma and a big bang for the buck. LCD is really nice also - but depends on the size you're looking at. They get very pricey when they get big. Plasma's are far from perfect - and are very heavy.

in case you save a lot less funds u purchase 40 2 and if u wanna see higher purchase 40 seven yet there is no longer a lot large difference between 40 2 and 40 seven. Dont bye LG they don't look that solid. Now i imagine the most suitable in television is samsaung. Plasma has extra contrest ratio in samsaung is like 15000:a million in liquid crystal demonstrate is like 3000:a million yet plasma is construct out of liquid. liquid crystal demonstrate is outfitted out of a few style of bulb. liquid crystal demonstrate is larger.
