Try the SUNSILK brand of shampoo/conditioner. They have all different types for different hair glitches, including split ends.
Not to mention- it smells REALLY good. :)

You cannot cure split ends but if you want to get rid of them you have to trim off the damaged hairs and keep the damage from coming back. Rough brushing, shampooing by piling the hair on your head, any kind of heat, ect can cause damage. If you don't have a whole lot you can just look at your ends and trim only the damaged ones.
Depending on how long your hair is now, it probably won't be very long for your prom. Hair only grows 1/2 inch a month and that is just an average some people have more or less growth.
Oh and if you still want to use heat make sure you buy a heat protectant you put on your hair. Aussie and Tresemme have them and Redken has what is supposed to be a good one.

Ya sure i have a plan for you...but its gonna be a LONG one...
1. Avoid excess heat and too much brushing and combing and please don't brush, scratch or shampoo hair and scalp before any chemical service. Never hesitate to Invest in quality combs and real bristle brushes.
2. Do shampoo your hair after a workout or strenuous exercise. The salt from perspiration will erode your hair. If you work out more than once a week, consult your stylist for your particular needs.
3. What ever you do, if you want to keep your hair long, don't ignore split ends because, as they split they also break away, meaning that your hair is in effect getting shorter every time you brush it and also means that your hair population is going down!
~Lana from Hamilton, OH writes, "I started using to rinse my hair after washing and cream rinse. I have long hair from my crown about 31 inches. I use 1 cup of apple cider vinegar every time I wash my hair, which is 3 times a week. The smell only stays for about 30 min, but my hair is so much healthier and has also grown. If I miss the vinegar rinse my hair feels flat and unclean. It also helps with the split ends. White vinegar is not to be used on your hair as it will strip the naturel oils"
AND YOU ARE GONNA NEED A TRIM ESPECIALLY AFTER TWO/THREE MONTHS!!!
HOPE THIS HELPS! AND GOOD LUCK!

You can try to use a stripping shampoo then a deep conditioner that is left of (w/ ur hair wrapped in a towel) for at least an hour-the longer the better. (You want to make sure you strip the hair first, so the conditioner can penatrate into the hair folicles.) Oh and you do not want to do this more than 2xs a week.
Skinny Serum by Paul Mitchel works wonders in smoothing flyaways and calming all the little split ends that stick out.

Tell them you do not want anything off the length, only 1/4" to remove split ends. If you want long hair, there's no reason to cut 2 or 3 inches off. Your hairs aren't split that far, are they?
Start using Biolage Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner.

The only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them. So, if you want no split ends for the prom, get all the split ends cut when you go to get your hair cut!

not really sure if you are in to cutting your own hait but i getthinning sicsors the ones that look like a blade and a comb and every month or so i use the for about 1/3 inch of my hair just to get the split ends off so that will not shorten you hair at all you wont notice it. and or use got oil on ends every few weeks! i had the same problem but they are gone. it is usually caused by dryness so the oil will help. al so if you use hair products use trssme the products marked works with heat.

My girlfriend uses mayonaise on her hair to help with the general condition of it and eggs. Also. She uses shampoos and conditioners specifically designed to get rid of split ends and repair damaged hair. Uhmm outside that she says go to the salon and ask for a PPT treatment. They're about 6 - 10 dollars get it donw every other week and it will help promote thee growth of your hair minus split ends as well as keep it shiney and healthy.
