My g/f as been going through a very rough time lately with drug withdrawals and sleeping problems. It sas been very difficult for her. Since all I can do is basically let her overcome this by herself, I thought I'd do something for her to bring a smile to her face through these hard times. Won't be able to see her so something I can do to send her through text or email etc? I don't wanna fuss over her, just want to make her a little something that says I'm thinking of her and how much I care and love her. Any ideas? Thanks

Bells, please don't judge something you don't know about, not all people who took unprescribed drugs were junk heads, some people actually needed it not to crave their addiction or to give them a rush but to actually help them, in the same way a prescribed drug would help, except the only drug that would work is not on the doctors menu.
And for your info, she is having withdrawals from a very strong sleeping pill, which was prescribed to her, the doctor can't do nothing but give her advice on what to expect during the withdrawals.

No Worries. you're right some people do abuse drugs. But there are some who do need it (not because of the addiction cravings) even if the drug is illegal. Some illegal drugs are much safer than legal drugs. Gets complicated.
Can't see her because I'd only be fussing over her, she hates fuss lol I've learnt that the best way is to just let her cope with it by herself, it's what she wants anyway. She's a strong person, she's dealt with worse things in life. She's a survivor. Hopefully just a few days left and she should start recovering, but I know how days can seem like weeks so just gona try to bring a smile to her face whenever I can until she's back to her old self.

Well, if I were the girlfriend, I'd agree with the answer about the flowers and card. Emails are always nice to read, but somewhat less personal than a letter, so just writing her a sweet little note (even saying something as simple as "I miss you and I'm thinking of you") would be a really awesome way to go. Kudos to you for being sweet enough to care, you're girlfriend is lucky :)

Send her a text or email that says exactly what you've told us here. That you love her and care about her,and add that you'll be there to support her and stand by her during the hard times. Knowing that will mean so much to her.

Just because she says she doesn't want you to visit her doesn't mean she means it! If you go and see her and she looks like crap, tell her how beautiful she is. Bring flowers and chocolate and tell her you love her no matter what, for who she is. Don't feel you have to talk, just lie or sit next to her for a long time, let her feel as though she is the most important thing in your life. DO THIS!!! SEE FIRST SENTENCE!!!

Just a text message saying "So proud of you" or flowers with the same message.

Go to www.1800flowers.com or Cheryl & Co and send her a gift basket of cookies and flowers (only about $50 or so). Include a card that says you miss her, you care about her, and are there to talk if she needs you.

email her about the special times you have shared and how much they meant to you. focus on the good times so she can remember the good instead of focusing on the bad and letting her see she fills a pleasant spot in life for someone.

Maybe you could send her some flowers or chocolate and a little note that says, "Thinking of you." It's the thought that counts! :)

You should just send her a heartfelt letter telling her how proud you are of her and how much you love her.
