I say, go with the relationship if:

-he has a job
-takes care of any kids he has
-has a clean criminal history (make him go to the PD and get a print out)
-Doesnt have any stds.

NO ONE CAN BAN YOU FROM DATING.

Do not give up on relationships because of your parents ... Because any guy can be a crap head. What if you date 15 guys your age after this guy and they are all pricks. What good does it do to let this guy go because your parents dont like it, only to end up less happy?

first think about this relationship long and hard b4 u tell them anything. 20 yrs is a very big difference and with you being so young, to be honest with you sweetie this realtionship ain't gon' last long unless you all have a good understanding about the age thing and you know what you want out of life because an older man will work your nerves about your future. Trust me. As for what your parents may say. it could be a lot of things, but be honest and direct if u r serious about this man. Only you know whow your parents will react and say. Good luck.

YOu need to continue to talk to your mother about your bf, because what you call dating has really been meeting him somewhere without your parents knowledge. Bottom line, you've probably lied to them once or twice.

Explain to her where you meet and what you do. Explain why you like this guy and how he treats you. Only after you get some agreement from your mother should you talk to your father.

Actively enlist her support and HELP in talking to your father. Under no circumstances should you ever get emotional about this - always speak calmly and clearly, and if mom or dad shout, reply quietly and calmly.

Don't engage in any shouting, anger, or name-calling, and please don't start crying if they disagree with you. That's already a fact.

Good Luck

If you live at home, you should follow your parents rules. Technically, you are 18 and can do what you want but your parents can also kick you out of the house(if you live at home).

Your 18 and you are seeing a guy thats 40. I think your dads gonna **** his pants! You need to back way off from this cradle robber. He is probably just in it for the sex no matter what he told you. Be careful!!!!!
