Remove the shoes. Put them in a closet and away from the dog.
Also, continue to train your dog that outside is the only
acceptible place for him to "take care of business".

Well, you need to address the underlying problem.
Is your dog a young unaltered male? If so, the problem might be that he's marking your shoes. In that case, taking him to the vet to have him fixed will most likely solve the problem.
If not, is your dog housebroken? If he's not, you will need to properly housebreak your dog. That's easiest done by establishing a strict schedule of when to go outside, and by crating your dog when you cannot supervise.
If your dog is already housebroken, you may need to take a trip to the vet to have him examined. Sometimes, urinary tract issues and other medical conditions can cause a dog to start associating peeing outside with the pain peeing causes, and they will relieve themselves elsewhere... like your shoes.

ha ha ha its funny that your dogs pees in your shoes. sorry it's funny. but ya just like the other person said that you can crate train your puppy. it helps a lot with the potty training process.
I have also learned that putting your pupppy on a puppy on a feeding and watering scedule will help a lot. and also keeping you shoes in a place where your puppy can't pee in it will also prevent this from happening again also.

Get a crate and use it. Not only does it save your house from accidents, it protects the dog from harm. Dog's (especially puppies) like to chew things. He could eat something that could cause a lot of trouble.
My dog is crate trained. He is 4 yrs old now and will run to his crate when it is time for bed. We have even tried to let him sleep with my daughter at night but everytime he gets up and runs to his crate and whines until we shut the door.

Crate train it,
Let it get use to it and have him sleep there.
After that take him outside every 2hours and wait for him to pee.
Praise him always!
keep doing this until he stops when you let him out in the house.
