a month behind is okay. if he has been exposed to chicken pox and has them now i would call the pediatrician tomorrow. let them check him out and be sure that that is what it is. if it is then you'll have a few days of itching but he'll be fine. you probably won't be given the vaccine if the dr knows that he has already had it but I am not sure...
children get behind and it isn't a big deal. my son has allergies and asthma and is highly succeptable to pneumonia. he had pneumonia when he was supposed to have his shots and so they said to wait. we went back for a check up and they said to schedule another well baby visit and then when we finally went back they felt that he was wheezing and needed to see his specialist again (he was fine) so we got a few months behind and are still behind now. He is 4 and has his well child visits 3 months after his birthday. :)
Call the dr. Relax - no big deal. SD

IF he has the chicken pox then he doesn't need the vaccine. The vaccine prevents them from getting the chicken pox. The majority of the population only gets the chicken pox once and not again. There are a few who get it twice.

If your child already has the chicken pox then no
the doc... will more than likely wait till the pox have cleared.
Don't worry about the pox the younger they are the better
I had shingles at the age of 32 and pregnant with my second baby.It was not pretty let me tell you.Take care!

Being a month or so behind isn't the end of the world.
However, if he has chicken pox, he doesn't need the vaccine, nor should he get it.

Theres no requirement for vaccines, so hes not technically behind.
If he has the pox, GREAT! He will get natural immunity from it.
He won't need the vaccine after having the illness, he will already be immune.

Sometimes getting behind just happens, its nobody's fault. My daughter was always a month behind because on our military post, the pediatric clinic was always booked! You should check with your son's doctor and see what he says.

Talk to your pediatrician and, when it is OK, keep up with his immunizations.
