My neighbors have approximately 20+ dogs and this is at 1 neighbor. They don't feed their dogs and they are having puppies every 3 to 6 months. The animals are sooo sickly looking. I have contacted the city police and the sheriffs dept. and they all tell me there is nothing they can do because we don't live in city limits. I am the one feeding these dogs and I am going through about 4 50lb. bags of dog food a week! Who would I contact? I live in Arkansas... Any information would be helpful at this point!

Call your local county court house information desk and tell them you have been getting the "run around" from the sherriff's office and you need to know who to report this to. The local law enforcement doesn't seem to want to get involved so go higher. You might also consider calling the county attorney's office. They should be able to answer your questions as well. Best of luck!!

Try contacting the county law enforcement. Stop feeding the animals. You might have to prove that you are caring for the animals. If no evidence of neglect is present, no evidence of a crime is present either.

Your local animal control number. If you can't locate this, call your local NON-EMRGENCY police number, who should be able to either give you the people you need or help you themselves. Good on you for doing something about it!
