Just got a new laptop with Vista installed and am trying to install Firefox. I get about 1/3 of the way and get an error that says: Error Opening file for writing:\r\n\r\nxpicleanup.exe\r\n\r\nClick Retry to tryagain, or\r\n cancel to stop the installation. The installation bombs at that point. Any help would be appreciated.

I highly suggest you take this exact question and go into the mozillazine.org forums for Firefox and ask it there - you'll have more people who ACTUALLY know what they're talking about.

Sorry, I've had Firefox runing on three Vista machines since I installed the OS, and had no problems. I'd suggest checking the mozilla forums. Also, try some of the suggestions at this link:

u can get the portable version off portableapps.com but i dont know about the real thing in vista it should come compatible now or soon

um i havent seen problems with other people's computers but maybe you should just redownload firefox and install it again

Switch back to XP until all these bugs are fixed, or suffer.
