Look up ACII code chart on the net...it is a combination of a control key and a number code that creates the special characters. You can also do it in HTML coding and you can install fonts into windows that will do the same thing....

Why hello there please check out ye ol character map

start -> programs -> accessories -> system tools -> character map

go through that until you find the notes, I've seen them in there push select then copy and you can paste it where you want it.
