The ultra pagan Romans brought us Jesus on a stick and forced Christianity on the world - what if the whole thing was just a propganda move on someone part-
Who would benifit and who would be able to pull this off ?
NEW YORK (AFP) - A documentary by "Titanic" director James Cameron claims to have found the burial site of the biblical Jesus and his alleged wife and son in an ancient family cemetary in Jerusalem.
Cameron and his co-filmmaker, Israel-born Simcha Jacobovici said Monday their research suggested Jesus married Mary Magdalene and had a son, Judah, who were buried with him.
The claim contradicts the Bible's account that the Christian Son of God was single, died when crucified and resurrected three days later and ascended to heaven, central tenets of Christian belief.

Wow a christian that is partonising what a surprise - It's not that I am on the verge of athiesim - I believe there may be an afterlife It's that I think the old and new testament is a fairly tale catalouge of mental illness and delusions and the sooner we get rid of it the better for society

As an Atheist I Do not doubt the existance of Jesus. I don't even doubt that the man was a preacher and taught things throughout Isreal and probably also somewhat of a zelot. However, in my opinion, what has happned, if you read other historical accounts of other phrophets at the time they are very similar and there was somewhat of a salvation religious revolution at this time in history. Therefore, what I personally believed happened, is the stories we are reading in the New Testament, which were written down about a hundred years after the actual account of Jesus, were used as conversion tools. They also were blended and really are an almalgamation of what Jesus was probably actually teaching and other stories from other salvation religions that were circulating at the time.

Nobody knows, and the bible anyway has been translated from a different language supposedly written such a long time ago.
Jesus wasn't a Christian he was a Jew and wouldn't it be strange for a man to be unmarried back then. So why isn't it possible that he was married and had children?
From personal experience as a child I was taught never to question anything from the bible because the bible is true. But as you get older and make your own decisions it just doesnt seem that way as such.

WHAT, you mean all these years I have been a Christian and it was all just a made up story??????????
You got to be kidding me! You mean the way my life has changed and all the joy I have been experiencing was all for nothing. The people that I have seen touched and changed by Jesus wasn't real either????????
And what about ALL these ministries who reach out and help people in need, with things like food, clothing and shelter, all for nothing?
And all those people who gave their lives for defending Christianity, all for nothing, it was all made up?????
oh my gosh, this must be the biggest story ever because we all know that it has been around for over 2000 years. And MILLIONS of PEOPLE have fallen for it.
Wow, thanks for telling me.

Oh well. I don't think it's propaganda. I'm so tired of conspiracy theories and people trying to disprove EVERY little thing. Enough already! If you don't buy it, fine! Groovy. Awesome even. It doesn't matter if someone believes in a fairy tale or bible stories if they're not hurting anyone. People seriously need to learn to take a chill pill and stop trying to disprove everything. It's annoying. It's ok for people to believe in things without proof. If it's not killing anyone, who cares?

It wouldn't make any difference for me, because I receive it on the basis of faith, not reason. I believe in it because I choose to, not because I have been intellectually convinced of its factuallnes. You see, spiritual truth can take a metaphorical form, it is not limited to facts in order to be "true"

Please do not blame the Pagans for this, as they were forced to accept Christianity at the cost of the stake!
And if he did have a family--how does this matter?
He, nor his teachings would be altered.

Don't believe everything you see on TV or in the movies, the people who believe everything a book tells them will be angry.

You sound very susceptible to atheistic deception....not knowing the infallability of scripture....
It is God's Word....and God is not a man that He should lie.
"...if they speak not according to this Word it is because there is no light in them".(Isa.8:19)"
"... They that are unlearned and unstable do wrestle, as they do other Scriptures, to their own destruction". (II Peter 3:16)
