When you achieve something in a easy way, you call it Luck. There is always other ways that people achieve lot of things. Take the case of several inventors. They worked hard, and achieved at the end.

No - you need hard work and a positive attitude and faith!
ATTITUDE
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of
attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important
than facts.
It is more important than the past, than education,
than money, than circumstances, than failures,
than successes, than what other people say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness,
or skill. It will make or break a company, a church,
a home, a family or friendship.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day
regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.
We cannot change our past . We cannot change the
fact that people will act in a certain way. We
cannot change the inevitable.
The only think we can do is play on the one string
we have control over and that is our attitude.
I am convinced that life is 1% what happens to me
and 99% how I react to it.

Not a great "quotation' question;
it is luck or Karma or destinty for some: luck is my surviving my military career; not having my grandmother from Wales book on the Titanic but another ship in 1912!
Is it "luck" to me born a Christian in Ohio versus a Jew in the 1930's in germany? or is it "Fate".
many pilots and such believe in "Luck" The great General Napoleon asked something like
"I do not care if he is talented but is he "lucky"?"
that is your answer: some folks are born lucky: fate always grants them a chance; then talent and skills follow.

I don't think luck has to do with anything - it's basically a superstition.
It all has to do with hard work and determination.
