after highschool, you graduate of course, and then you go to a college/university. which is like high school all over again.

besides that..can't you go straight to university that has a specific major like in art. cause i can't decide if i want to take AP euro, i heard you should take it now so you won't have to take it in the first two years of collge. in which all colleges needs you to take it.

but then im thinking, im freakin going to an art school, i don't need it do i?

so someone explain to me about how that works, what school works best, what courses, etc.

and i don't get what grad school is...whats the difference.

Ok ... lets just go for an easy explanation ...

NO MATTER what you have your UGrad Degree in, there are specific courses that are REQUIRED for ALL Majors ... and that includes whether you are an Art Major, A Business Major, A Science Major or any other Major.

This means that there is a requirement for certain English Courses, certain Math Courses, Science Courses, and yes, History Courses too.

Getting the AP course not just successfully completed, but also with a SCORE on the AP test so that you can get credit hours awarded is a BIG Bonus ... it means the difference between paying the current fees in College, and not having to pay these Fees ... and yes, it can mean substantial money for your parents (or you if you are paying for your own college).

Now for the other part of the question ...

Grad School is BEYOND the UGrad Degrees, and it is even harder ... plus, for most, there is the requirement for you to produce scholarly work (for example, I did a Thesis that I had to research, compile data, put it into a specific format, and then defend that thesis in front of a committee). This was an ADDITIONAL 2 Years (full time) of College Courses (for me, a bit longer, but I was on Active Duty with the Military at the time). Then ... I was awarded the degree when I successfully completed all those courses as well as the Defense of my 'project'.

Hope this helps.

The best place to start with your questions about Art Majors is with an ART teacher at your High School. Since they have that degree program in their educational background (and I am definitely NOT an Art Major) .. then they are BEST able to explain the required courses for the MAJOR (Art) as well as the mandatory courses for the UGrad Degree that they have completed.

First off, everything is like high school all over again....it NEVER ends! Everyone is continuously immature for-e-ver!!

Start at what you'd like to be doing as a career and work backward from there...then you can figure out how you're going to get there. Check out jobs and their requirements...you may find that they want a Master's degree or just a bachelors. A Master's degree is what you get after you graduate from college. You don't always have to have the same major for both..i.e. you can get a bachelors in art and a Master's in education or business....so you'll make money.
Figure out first what you want to do with art. If you're looking for money, then you'll need business classes or something, art doesn't pay, unless you're dead...and that will suck because you'll be dead...for a long time...
Words of wisdom from a art school graduate and post graduate:
Remember that you have to pay back the loans you borrowed for school....get a good job after you graduate! Deffer...deffer...deffer!

I don't know about all that but after high school, I did'nt wan't to go to a university and have to take all thoose bullshit classes that you really don't need. Instead I decided to go to a techinal collage. There are different kinds of schools you can attend after high school and still get a degree or deploma or certifications or whatever in certain things. That don't mean going to a university is a waste. It's just, For some people collage works out better than for others. Just make sure you explore all of your options.

wow. Okay well each college is different and has different requirements. Some colleges will make you take euro and some might not. Usually they make you take math and english as well as any courses related to your major. So if i want to study medicine i would probably have to take biology first year. As for grad school its just a better degree. Like instead of an Ph.D i will have and M.D after i attend medical school and pass all my exams.
