I'm currenty wieght training. 1 month into it doing it every 2 days during the week.
I am Asian 5"7. 15 years old and am sorta lean
BUT!! I can't seem to gain weight even though I try to eat lots.
Is it somethin' with metabolism or something? If it is, what can i do about it. Because I weigh like 120'ish.

eat a lot, and stop the weight training, you'll gain fat though, not muscle

I work with a girl that has same problem you do. She's 21 years old and she weighs about 115 lbs. She eats a ton!! And I don't have any idea were she puts it. She eats candy bars all day, fast food, all types of really fatty foods and she still does'nt gain any weight. I really do think this is a metabolism issue.
Your best bet is seeing a doctor, thats were you will get the best advice. Good Luck!

well your 15 i see but u think u would b able to drink a 6 pack of beer and eat 2 a frozen well a baked frozen pizza nightly like 1 hr b 4 bed? ha cause that worked for me, but ok thinkin u might not wanna drink the beer ha, see sumo wrestlers eat a lot, then immediatley nap. cause eating and then napping insures weight gain. u slow your metabolism down with the nap. so try to sleep after meals. and u should gain some weight.

If you want to gain weight don't eat fatty foods and stuff. That is just unhealthy. To gain weight and not just fat, build muscle. Lots of lean protien so you can turn it into muscle. I wouldn't reccomend gaining a lot though because 5'7 and 120 pounds isn't underweight it's normail so staying how you are is probably the healthiest.

Wow your thinner than me and I'm 5"5. OK I promised myself I would only answer one question tonight. Well I understand you want to gain weight BUT start saying you want to gain Muscle, because fat will make you look like Buddha and muscle will make you look like an Athlete/Healthy aka, Hotter than being fat. OK increase your carbs start eating: Yams, Rice Cakes, Apples, Bananas, Oatmeal in the canister not the crap with sugar. (YOU NEED TO EAT CLEAN STILL) Cut down your cardio if your doing any and increase your weight training to 4 days a week, because your trying to break down muscle and build it up to be stronger and bigger (2 times a week is not enough) Eat 140 grams of protein a day from chicken breast, salmon, tuna, all natural peanut butter etc... Get some healthy fats in as well. You need carbs and a lot of them, also protein is important in developing muscles, but if your body is burning calories that fast you want it to burn the carbs rather than the protein which is the key to building muscle.

Hope this Helps. Basically:
-Train 4x's a week Weight Training
-Decrease cardio
-Eat healthy carbs and lots of them 150-250 grams of carbs
-Eat at least 140 grams of protein
-Add a supplement if needed your still young yet, but Whey Protein Shakes can help.

***Just for my saftey as well as yours ask your doctor before following my advice***

You're 15 years old, don't worry about it. When I was your age I was very tall and thin, and I was able to put on 50 pounds (of muscle) once I put puberty a log way behind me. I didn't really fill out until I was in my 20s.

What I _wouldn't_ do is eat a lot of crap just trying to put on weight. Eat healthy foods, keep working out, and it'll all come together for you when your body is ready.

yes i have the same problem. its because you have a fast working metabolism. ive tried to gain weight for a long time and nothing really worked. The only way to truly gain weight is in muscle. just try to work out and you will find that you will gain more weight and a better figure. good luck!

You need 3000 grams of protein per day. At age 15, you should not worry about gaining weight. It will happen naturally when you get older.

GOOD NEWS stop trying to gain weight because you actually are not sort of lean. Actually you are very healthy and weigh exactly what you should wiegh for your age and height. If you check the source used it will show you what I am talking about. Eat and laze around. One of the few ways ppl gain weight is by eating more than theire bodies can burn off.
