Not having free will means we are programmed. If we're programmed than what difference does love make to us? Free will is DEFINITELY necessary to experience love the way God intended it. Love loses it's purpose and meaning without being exercised through free will. Do you want your spouse to love you because he was made to or because he CHOSE to?

Yes you need freewill to express love to anyone.
When you have a choice and then you chose to love someone that is real special. For both of you.
When someone has all the power in the relationship and demands that you love them or at least marry them. They lose so much because they never know what it feels like to be loved.
I feel sorry for them because they say to themselves I can make all these young women marry me and they have to do what I say.
But that was never their choice and they do it to stay alive or because they have to. They lose a lot but so does he. Because deep down they probably hate him. One women in just such a relationship said after he touched her she had to go and throw up she found him so disgusting. That was never God's plan for populateing the human race. Familys was a wonderful idea.
Two people truly in love is an even better idea.
But giving people free will knowing some would chose the wrong way was very intelligent. That made those who chose to do the right thing very special. Love from the heart can never be forced.

We lost that ability with Adam. We have free will to continue in our guilt any way we want, it is only through the Holy Spirit working in our hearts that we can at all experience the love of God.

If humans didn't have free will we would be like puppets that God just strings along for his pleasure.
He created us in his image. We sinned. We put that wedge between us and God. We once walked and talked with God. Ruled the planet in which he created for his beauty.
We have free will and can choose to listen to him or not. So on judgment day we can not say we were forced to do anything.
God Bless

With free will comes the choice to choose Him and then comes the experience in living in the truth and it is the truth that sets one free from the slavery of sin which wounds the charity within all of us

No, because we have the id (free will / pleasure principle), ego (reality, encompassing morals, taboos, societal norms, etc) and super ego (conscience). It's discussed in Philosophy, Religion, Psychology, and Anatomy & Physiology of the brain so it must be true. God's love is not all about free will.

There is a reason that God stands at the door and knocks. It is because He has given us free will. This allows us to decide to receive Him as our Lord and Savior or to reject Him. God does not force himself on anyone like satan does.

We need free will to make a decision if we want to seek our creator or not. We need a free will to be responsible for our consequences.
If the creators existennce is outside of the bounds of time we can have free will and the creator can still know our actions,

Yes, of course. Otherwise when we did anything, we would just be robots. We make decisions everyday- what to wear, what to eat. Each day we use our will. We step closer to or father away from God.
