I have growth stretch marks. When I was 12 to14 I had a major growth spurt and major weight gain. Now as I'm loosing weight I'm noticing these ugly stretch marks which are getting acne in them. How can I get rid of the stretch marks? I do have sensitive and overly DRY skin. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

I have had stretch marks since I was about 14 (4 years) for no apparent reason at all (they are on the sides of my bottom, and believe me I do NOT have a big butt at all hah .. I need more meat on it!) anyway .. I have been putting Palmer's Cocoa Butter and Mederma on them all this time, but they never seemed to help. Finally, a couple months ago, I bought this stuff at Walgreen's called Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Vitamin E Scar Serum. It comes in a tiny little see-through bottle with a little pump at the top and it's a really light yellow-ish color, like a Vitamin E pill would be. It doesn't smell the best, but I squeeze a few pumps onto the marks, then rub them in right after I shower every day, sometimes a couple times a day, and I am finally noticing them fading a bit. It took about two weeks for the results to start, and now they're just gradual. =] Try it!

Lasers don't work on strecth marks. Not yet at least, the technology might change. They would make so much money if it did work. I got rid of my ugly ones by dermabrasion and chemical peels. It took 6 treatments and they were red and raw for six months before they healed. So many people(even guys) have strecth marks, I would not worry about it. They do fade. The only reason I treated mine is that they were very deep. Moisturise your skin with any lotion to prevent new ones.

There is a product called Mederma that you can buy OTC at Walgreens and most any other chain pharmacy; perhaps even Walmart! It is used for treating scars from stretch marks, surgery and whathaveyou! It will minimize there appearance and promote healing making nearly invisible. It is Doctor recommended and costs approx. $20- $30 dollars per tube

Sorry to say this but the only choices you really have are: either you wait a bit to see if they would go away on their own or you'd have to get a laser treatment or you'd have to learn to live with them.
