I know that it's labeled as the "tramp stamp" but I don't care, I think they're sexy and I think it would highlight my hourglass figure. I want something that people will see and think: "WOW that is badass and super hott!"

dont get a tribal, go to the shop and pick out some pieces u like, or if u have ur own original idea, write it down and draw it out (to the best of ur ability) so they know what u want exactly. And the artist can work w/you on coming up w/ something origianl say u like the ivy swirls in one of the flash, the flowers from another, or certain scroll of letters and the artist can incorporate it into something special that will be ur own original 'tramp stamp' lol. dont get tribals roses or butterflies, so generic. If u do go with a tribal make it thin and ladylike w/ something else to give it color and make it pop. you will have it forever so take ur time picking it out and then wait a month to see if u still want that. Also ask the artist if he has anything he(she) drew that he's been wanting to do.

If you get a tattoo, make sure it is for you and not for your boyfriend. Its you how has to live with it for the next however many years.
You really need to seriously consider what it is that you want to have permanently on your back. I'd suggest something very meaningful to you, like a symbol of something worked into your tribal desing. Also i dont think there tramp stamps if they have meaning and arnt tacky.

If you've set your mind to get a tattoo, get what YOU want. Your boyfriend may not be around forever, but that tattoo will be there for the rest of your life. You have to live with it, and you have to live with your decision. Something might seem cool and hot now, but what will it look like in 30 years? Will it still be something you're happy with?

get something YOU want...not what tour bf suggests.. if you ever were to break up with him.. in my opinion its would be like "oh why did i get that tattoo again oh yeah cause my EX thought it would look nice" well thats what would go through my head.. why not get something that has MEANING to you and somethgin that you wont get... especially tribal.... its nice that you dont care that its a tramp stamp though! go with what you want. not what other people suggest.. but if i were you i would think about this one for a while and get something meaningful to you

Considering this is something you will most likely have for the rest of your life, find some thing that has meaning for you. If YOU are interested in tribal, look into your own ethnic background for inspiration. (Celtic bands, Norse runes, Asian characters) There was a woman on Leno last night who had a Hindu symbol for "Ohm", For her "the sound of creation" It is your body. Decorate and celebrate it meaningfully.

I have 4 tats. 3 Chinese symbols on my calf (my husband reads, writes and speaks Chinese fluently, so i know they are correct) Karma, Strength and Passion. And an Ankh on my ankle. I got them at very significant times in my life. I encourage you to do the same. Try to stay away from things just because they are pretty or you think they are cool. What you perceive as "cool" right now my not seem so cool when you're 50. Take your time in deciding. It took me a year to finally decide exactly what I wanted. And finally, it is YOUR body, get only what please you and no one else.
Just a final note, as I read about how you'll hate it in 10 years , blah blah blah... I got my first one at 24 the others at 28. I'm now 37 and wear all of them proudly to school functions, my daughters Brownie troop meetings (I'm the co leader, and she thinks they are really neat. I have told her she may not get any until she has a full time job for at least 5 years) & church every Sunday. Never, in all the years of having them have I regretted my decision to artisticlly express myself on my body.

tribal tattoos are not badass! the are overdone and ridiculous unless you are actually from a 'tribe'.
if you want to get a tattoo on your lower back then do it. but DON'T get tribal especially just because your boyfriend wants you to.

Don't get a tattoo for your boyfriend.. Get the tattoo YOU want..He'll be gone. And you'll still have the tattoo. And saying what a mistake I made..

Get something because you want it not because your boyfriend wants you to or some random people online suggest it. Find something that means something to you and get that. I'll be getting some song lyrics on my back for my next tatt.
