I was diagnosed with P. rosea in July 2006. While the rash spread to my entire body (including my neck, face, hairline, ears, feet legs, torso, back) it finally started to subside around Thanksgiving. However, I keep getting new breakouts of the small scaly patches, just not all over. I have a new rash on my face. Its been almost 9 months. Has this happened to anyone? Do you have any information that will help me? All the websites say the same thing and obviously, my case is different than the typical one.

Well, you never said what kind of treatment you have tried.
True, it is only supposed to breakout once or twice and then never come back, so my question is, have you been tested for Syphilis?
Once you test negative, you can ask your Doc to try some steroid creams. For now, some diaper rash ointment (at night) can be helpfull and soothing. It has zinc in it, great for your skin. It's the same thing that the sun bathers use on their nose.
last, maybe you were misdiagnosed, since it keeps coming back.
I would get a 2nd opinion..good luck, I know how devastating this can be, because it's something everyone can see...
