Before going out and doing a complete drive recovery, have you tried to fix the problem that you are having? Maybe fixing the MBR or a hundred other things will work.

What exactly do you mean by "my hard drive got corrupted today"? The whole drive cannot be corrupted, or else a file recovery tool wont do any good anyway...know what I mean?

Hello,
A good data recovery software I used is Wondershare data recovery. Recommended. Download here http://j.mp/1uUrDZv
It works like a charm.

firstly, if only the operating systems are gone (you got a blue screen) you might be able to SLAVE your hard disk with another pc, read that data and copy it all onto another hard disk..read up on slaving, its basically attaching your hard disk as an additional disk to another pc and seeing if its still readable, DO THIS BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING.

Or, if that fails, company called ONTRACK can recover anything from it, tried and tested but expensive...

The best as far as I'm concerned is Spin-Write. I've had to use it once before and it recovered my entire hard drive.

If you still have problems let me know and I can do it for you.
