Two test cases, Gwen Jacob in Ontario and Linda Meyer in British Columbia ruled that a woman going topless in a public place was not illegal. But in fact it is virtually not done other than, obviously, clothing optional beaches.
Interestingly, the desicion in the Jacob case, which is by far the more important, was handed down in the middle of winter. It is interesting to speculate what might have happened had the ruling been made in the midst of a summer heat wave.

This is the straight goods
There are nude beaches in Canada where everyone can go without chlothes if they want.

But the Question of topless in other areas...Yes It can be done

A Lesbian Girl in Port Qoquitlam B.C. (near Vancouver) was seen many times riding her bike topless, from what I understand she was given a ticket for "Immodest Attire" She fought the ticket and the charges were stayed (crown would not go forward to trial). This girl also when to a Public Swimming pool and did the same thing. I think it was not pursued by the proscutor.

We have a charter of rights in Canada saying everyone is to be treated equally under the law.

You can't tell a women to wear a top, if you don't insist on the men covering up as well.

So there it is. The true story.

Are these people losing thier mind? I live in Ontario and about 7 years ago it was made legal for the simple fact of guys can why can't girls. I remember the "crazy lady" of our town who is like 50 years old and overweight walking around one of our beaches and downtown topless (eek). It wasn't a pretty site. But I do believe it has been changed since then, least I would assume becuase Crazy Crazy Mary-Anne isn't walking around with her droopy breasts out anymore. Lol.

So to answer your question, it *was* legal.

Don't know about all of Canada but in Ontario women can go topless anywhere men can. And on Toronto Island at Hanlan's Point there is a 'clothing optional' beach.

In Ontario, women are legally allowed to be in public with out a top on. You will find that in most cases women are not eager to do so though, to many perverts staring at them and making rude comments.

I have a friend who is working in Boracay Beach. And told me they do that, and if sex is to consider, they have the highest stamina, and say its all about endurance. My friend is a front desk personnel and a guy.
