Running is a great way to lose weight but it can be hard on the knees. You need only to run about 20 to 30 minutes a day. Or walk, whatever makes you happy. Start slow and work up to longer runs if that's what you want to do. Check out "Runner's" magazine. Running builds a trim muscular butt, calf muscles and thighs ,and with a healthy diet melts the fat away, while walking tends to make the butt smaller.
Good Luck

I have been running for weight loss and to tone up for the last 3 weeks. When I first started I ran 2 miles every other day. The days that I didn't do cardio I did a lot of ab workouts. If you would like to tone up you need to do Muscle Strength work out as well. Also I have been taking Hydroxycut 2 times a day with a good diet. My plan has seem to work out very well. I have lost 15lbs in the short time that I have been on it. Good luck hope I help you out in some way.

Run for as long as it is possible and switch to fast walking after that.U reduce your calories double the amount when you run/jog than when you walk. But more importantly do it continously and GET STARTED.
