if i wanted the latest fad, i'd go to the mall. please do not question my intentions for choosing this dog. there is a reason for me choosing this breed. all i asked for was the price.

A Snorkie is not a breed, it is a mix. There will be no guarantees that this mix will not cause an allergy issue.
Delibrate breeding of mixes is done by irresponsible breeders and they charge way too much for a mix. They also make a lot of false claims as to "hypoallergenic", nonshedding, etc.
If you need a dog taht is known to be easy on allergies then you should look for an actual breed such as a Poodle.

Why don't you do some research and find an actual, real registered breed that fits your requirements instead of contributing to "fad" breeding that isn't under any formal registering requirements?
Here, I've even done a bit of the work for you. Go from there:
kkmommy, I had a mix-breed dog that was great, and super intelligent, the best dog I ever had. I would NOT have paid $400 for him, though, and I didn't combine his heritage breeds into a cutesy name to make him out to be more then what he was, which was a mutt(he was a white GSD/Lab and Australian Sheepdog mix). Unless the breeders are truly setting out to make a whole new breed of dog(and you could tell, because they wouldn't "cutely" combine the names of the dogs they are using into some idiotic ad slogan), I will never get a dog that was purposefully bred from two different breeds to make a "designer" breed.

Waaaay to much considering they are mutts.
Go to your pound and look, I'd be you'd find what you are looking for there.
Please don't encourage the intentional breeding of mutts, especially while hundreds of dogs, some of the same mix die every day in shelters.
Besides that you never know what you are getting with a mutt bred dog. People who breed these aren't responsible breeders. The parents generally have no health testing done, and they have no proof they are of actual breeding quality.
You may very well be paying an arm and a leg for a lifetime of expensive vet bills by buying one of these dogs. Its not worth it.
*******There is no guarantee to the shedding or them being hypoallergenic. Again you can't guarantee anything with mutt bred dogs. *******

If I wanted a schnauzer mix, I would definitely go to petfinder. Type in your zip code and schnauzer and all the pure breds and mixes will come up.
I'm sure one will catch your eye. If you are looking for a unique mix, they have them! The dog will probably cost around $200 for adoption.
Besides, I think Mr. McDuff is wayyyy cuter than that yorkie mix!

Edit: Actually, I did see a snorkie on Petfinder.. (It looks like it should be a snorkie.) It is nice, too... cuter than the picture on "dogbreedinfo".

A Snorkie is just a mixed breed dog, bred in a puppymill to make a lot of money from people who want the latest fad. If you want a nice mixed breed puppy, go to your local animal control or humane society.

The best thing to do is to adopt one from a shelter instead of buying from bad breeders. A reputable breeder will not deliberately breed 2 different breeds together and call them one of the designer labels, they are just fancy names for mutts and that is all you will ever have.

There's NO SUCH THING!!!
That's just a really stupid cutsie-poo label stuck on a HORRBILE MUTT/MONGREL by irresponsible *CROOKS* just to SCAM the gullible MORONS!!!
NEVER pay a CROOK a plugged nickel for a POS MUTT!
Can you spell SALES-PITCH? That equals ***LIE***
ALL DOGS SHED! ***NONE*** are "hypo-allergenic"!!!

A Yorkie (Yorkshire Terrier) can run anywhere from $400.00 (probably only CKC registered, not AKC) up to $2,000.00 or more depending on breeding and championship lineage. I assume the snorkie is a mix of Yorkie and schausier? If this is a custom mixing, prices will run comparable. If not it is a mutt and should not run much.

I can't believe that there are people on here who are talking crap about snorkies. I am a VERY proud owner of a beatiful snorkie named Wendy! She is a wonderful dog. And I have NEVER considered her a mutt. She is very smart and loveable. I payed $400 for her and I am sooooo glad I did.
I just wanted you to know that Snorkie's are a GREAT choice!! You won't be disappointed if you decide on one!!!
