Going dutch means paying for own meal, drink, ticket, ect.

What would be the most polite way to ask?

Instead of asking your date to go to dinner and a movie you should say, "Do you want to meet me for some dinner?"
Or "Do you want to meet me and watch a movie together?"

Most people will understand what that means. If you ask your date to go with you and you pick him/her up, then they will probably expect you to pay. I think the key word is "meet."

I don't think there is a polite way to tell a woman you only like her enough to sit at the same table as her, but not quite enough to spend money on her.

I, personnally, like men to be just a little traditional and want a guy to open the door, spoil me a little, buy me jewelry sometimes, let me hog the remote once a week and rub my neck from time to time. For that type of guy, I'd build him a house with my own 2 hands.

PS, married, and although I haven't built him an actual house yet, I've come pretty darn close to it.

wait until you can afford to take a girl/woman out. You never ask her to go dutch unless your in a solid relationship and ya'll trade off paying the bill. It will be your last date if you ask her to go dutch. That's awful. Unless your like 15 then that's another story.

I would ask your date what she thinks of going dutch. Just come out with it. I wouldn't be offended & I doubt she will be. Don't wait until the check comes to mention it-you will be lucky if she does freak on you.

There is NEVER a good way to ask without the other person feeling a little left offended. All I can advise is that you let the person know where you are coming from before you go on a date!!!!!

Just be honest. Tell her you're a penny pinching cheapskate with no money to waste on her but you're lonely enough to put up with her tagging along. No girl would turn that down.

Don't ask someone out until you have saved enough money to pay.

No wonder you are a bachelor!
I would NEVER let a date pay for ANYTHING!
Unless she insisted, REALLY insisted.
