I'm in high school and there's this guy who I think likes me, but I don't like him as more than a friend. I can't avoid him because his locker is right next to mine. I REALLY don't want to ask me out because I want to be friends with him and I'm afraid if he asks me out and I turn him down (which I will), he will be awkward around me, which won't be good because my locker will be next to his next year too.
Ideas?

i would say just maybe tell him your looking at someone else or something....in a round about way tell him your not interested without actually saying it...its probably the only way you both come out not hurt

Don't tell him you're a lesbian. That just turns guys on all the more and makes the chase more fun. Tell him your parents have asked that you wait till you're older before you go out with anyone, and thank him for his interest and tell him you appreciate his friendship. That way he'll not feel like a heel and will probably continue being your friend and maybe change his interests to someone else.

well I am 25 and have been out of high school for a while I know that I would definitely not ask you out if you perhaps talked to me about another guy you like(real or not). Ask him a question about how to approach this other guy, or tell him that you know of another girl that likes him. When your finished talking to him make some comment about him being such a cool friend. That should at least slow him down or draw his attention to another.....

if you dont like him... good get it over with spare the poor man's heart you don't sound too personal with him so whats a person being awkard changing anything
you don't like him but you want to keep him as a friend.. cant have the best of both worlds
you just can't if he doesnt ask you then dont think about it if he does lay it out and hope he doesnt make a big deal out of it

Tell him that with everyone dating then breaking up, you'd rather have him for a friend forever and not date and spoil it. It's the only classy and nice way to not go out with him and have him still keep his dignity and pride intact. Heck you may even see that he'll respect you even more.

1) If he even does ask you out you can just say that you really like him but more like as a friend. Then say something encouraging like "but you never know..." :)
2) Say loudly while near him that you like someone else.

That one's hard. You see, we men are simply pigs. We will ask out any girl that attracts us in any way. So, my only answer would be to act really UNattractive, if that makes sense.

Shaaaa......you think he likes you?!? If he does and he asks you out why not be honest and tell him your not interested in him that way, but he's a great guy, like, for someone else....
