when it comes to golf i am a competitor and it really ticks me off when i catch someone cheating. Not only are they disrespecting me but also the game. But to answer your question usually the golfers that aren't comitted to the sport are the ones that are the liers. The others that are have to much pride in the game to lie about their score, because they would be liying to themselves.

Golf is a game of honesty. If you wanted you could jump on a course and play a round free. You can pay for nine holes and jump right on the tenth after the nine. But no, golf is a game of honesty and only liars do that.
