Try a non denominational church, you will be accepted, I bet.

No church that I can think of offhand would be so rude as to ask you to leave. But if you're looking for churches that are typically considered more accepting, you might try "progressive" denominations like the Unitarian Universalists. I also know some Episcopalian goths. I'm Catholic, and nobody says anything bad to the goths who come to my church. We're glad they're there.

The LORD says that where ever 3 or more gather in His name that He is there,
so I guess that a church would probably be about the safest place in the world to go.
Oh, about the fashion choice, its a worldly thing, so that's why some might frown. Most people wear pretty boring clothes in church, so as not to say " i love worldly things". That would be contradictory.
But if you came to my church i wouldnt make you leave. That would be mean.

It depends on the church (it shouldn't) because some church's don't walk the walk and all church's are not about God. If they don't accept you keep looking. If you are truly seeking God there is a church out there for you and you will be accepted as you are. You will know you have found the right place because you will have peace about it.
Jesus said: Come to me all you that are weak and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Nowhere in scripture does He say "only you that wear blue...".

I would try dressing in the black stuff should be OK, but leave the white make-up off or the black (what my church calls WAR paint) make-up off, if Jesus makes you a new creature, you don't want to look like a zoombie or dawn of the dead. At least in my church we have punk or Emo, and the goth teens leave the black make0up at home.

sure, most religions are happy to have new members. you may want to be near the back so you can follow along with others, otherwise you might be standing and kneeling at the wrong time and feel a little silly. be sure to mingle afterwards, mention what you liked to some friendly looking people. For a church just make sure your shoulders and knees are covered and you don't wear any pentagrams or satanic symbols.

I have actually seen at a friend of mines christian church what I am about to tell you. There was a sort of goth girl there and she was being stared at and talked about, in a bad way, I felt pretty bad for her. She did not deserve that.

If you want to feel safe, go to a Catholic Church in the USA.
Odds are - no one will be there anyways. (Man, church gets emptier by the month). And, as Catholics we know we are all a little messed up anyways.
We are not all uppidy.
Blacks, Africans, Latinos, Irish, Italians, French and Spaniards... trust me... you cannot get a bigger mixed bag than that.
Plus, Father might be a fruitcake.

I know that my stepmother and fathers church would not ask you to leave. It really is not thier place to tell someone to leave (unless some drunk comes stumbleing in threatning to hurt someone) a church is no bodys home or building. It's God's. God wouldn't tell anyone to leave his home
Have a great night

If you are 'into' goth, why would you want to go to church? Goths seem to stand for all that is not holy. And although the people here all seem to think that they know so much, I guess that they forget where the Word of God says to seperate ourselves from people such as those that stand for all that is not holy.
It seems to me that the whole appearance of goths is that of darkness. So with that in mind, see in the book of 1 John 1:5 & 6 - " This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth."
Also, take the truth from the book of 2 Corinthians 6:14 - 18 ; "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
And will be a father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord almighty.
Now, do not get me wrong. I am NOT saying 'do not go to church', but I am saying that if you DO go to church, go to fellowship with God, and with His Son Jesus Christ. Do it with reverence, and with a thirst for righteousness. Your goth dress and manner have no place in this, as they symbolize that which is of darkness.
