We always tell people to pack light.... if you forget something, you'll be able to get it there. Here is our basic packing list with the "amenities and necessities" we generally take: http://www.mousetourstravels.com/basic-packing-list.html In Cancun, you'll probably want a couple of bathing suits.... and more t-shits and shorts than I would take, but don't go over board.
Don't forget that you need to pack with today's security alerts in mind. Check our page on what you can pack in your carry on luggage: http://www.mousetourstravels.com/travel-security-alert-packing-guide.html Here's the TSA site for permitted and prohibited items: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm This means mascara, sun lotion, lip gels etc must go in your checked luggage or in small sizes and in zip top bags in your carry-ons. Don't worry.... you'll figure it out... and you'll have a great time!!!
Happy travels... even if you don't travel the world... just remember that life is a journey... embrace and enjoy it! http://www.mousetourstravels.com

O come on I have been in Cancun and the water is perfectly fine. if you what bottle water you don't have to take it from here there is a walmart and what you find here you will fined there. Cancun is like been here but without rule and more thing that you will need if your skin is sensitive take your own sun block, Glasses, allot of bikinis shorts, money it is expensive, and be open to things not just because they said their water is not clean i don't know in which hotel they stayed in that could be a good question but if you go with friends you will not even taste water because there every thing is legal. and if you go to a club you will pay for open bar and in the hotel is usually open bar like i said it depends on witch hotel is i hope it helps. Have fun that's what CaNcUn is made for.

Cancun (drop the "e") Mexico is a fun place - a popular destination for spring breakers. You're gonna have a great time, Baby Cake!
What Rachel T said makes a lot of sense, esp. the bottled water thing. PLUS, don't forget to bring your beach stuff - swimwear (plural), sun bloc lotions, moisturizers, good repair shampoo, cool sunglasses, books/mags to read while sunbathing, beach sandals, etc. Buy your sombrero (hat) there!
And of course, some non-beach wear too...for sightseeing and exploration and shopping (haggle!).
Water Activities: Stay within your comfort zone....if you can't surf, don't! And, honey, stay close to your adult companions wherever you go, okay?
HAVE FUN! Be safe......

Bottled water. Unless you have a pretty fancy hotel, the water isn't clean. Maybe bring a Spanish/English dictionary unless you already know the language. As for what you can't bring on the plane, go here.
